Panasonic has released their smallest and lightest interchangeable lens system digital camera, the Lumix DMC-GF2. It’s a 12.1 MP camera with a built in flash that is a nice blend between a DSLR and point and shoot. The lens used is in the micro thirds format which is more compact but more expensive. This camera is also compatible with Panasonic’s new 3D interchangeable lens which means you can take 3D photos.

Magellan RoadMate 9055 7″ GPS

Up next on Hawt Gadgets is the Magellan RoadMate 9055. It’s an extra large 7 inch GPS navigation device that was designed for larger vehicles like SUV’s, trucks and RV’s. Of course you can use it on a smaller car if you’ve got room on your dash for it.

The RoadMate 9055 provides real time traffic alerts and alternate routes for free for life. It’s extremely useful as you can opt for an alternate route if you’re stuck in traffic. Another feature I enjoyed “points of interest” feature. There’s over 6 million of them. If you’re exiting the freeway and need to locate a gas station, restaurant or an ATM it will guide you to the nearest one.

Eton Mobius Solar Charging iPhone 4 Case

Eton has used its solar power expertise to create an iPhone case with a solar panel. This case they’ve called Mobius will double your iPhone’s battery life with its built in battery but it will also help power up your phone when you expose it to sunlight.

I can see this product being useful to those who are going hiking or camping and will be away from any electricity. You might not be able to get a signal to make a call or go online, but you can use useful apps that don’t require an internet connection like the compass or the flash to provide you light at night.

Xbox 360 250GB With Kinect

Category: Other Gadgets - Date: May 9, 2011 - Discuss: Add A Comment

This XB0x360 is black, more compact and sleeker than previous xbox’s. It makes less fan noise and doesn’t get as hot as previous XBox models. As for hard drive space, this one has a 250GB hard drive. It includes built-in wifi to connect to Xbox Live. In the package you’ll find a matching black controller and a black headset.

Now for some words about the Kinect. Like the Nintendo Wii and the Playstation Move, the Xbox Kinect offers motion gaming. But the Kinect is different in that it offers controller-free motion gaming with a full-body motion sensor. No more being a couch potato with this next generation gaming system.
