T-Mobile G1 Phone
Measuring just 4.7 x 2.2 x 0.6 inches and weighing 5.6 ounces, the T-Mobile G1 offers many input methods in a tight package. The bottom of the G1 contains a green “Send” button, a Home button, a Trackball, a Menu button, a Back button, and a red “End” button. Sliding the G1 open reveals a comfortable little QWERTY keyboard. The sensitive touch screen gives you instant access to your information with a touch of the finger.
The e-mail, calendar, and contact functions on the G1 are all dependent on Google’s Web-based services. The G1’s Web browser is one of the best around. Like the iPhone’s, the G1 browser is based on WebKit. It is easy to surf the web, watch YouTube videos and you can IM from anywhere.
Gmail, GoogleTalk, Google Calendar, even Google Maps are all easy to access and move between on the T-Mobile G1. There are additional e-mail applications that handle other non-Google mail accounts. The G1 also has a music player and a 3-megapixel still camera. New applications to download are available through the Android Market.
