If you’re looking for a tablet for web browsing, watching TV, streaming video from the web, reading magazines or books or for playing games on the go, then today I’d like to introduce you to the Dell Streak 7. The Android-based Dell Streak 7 has been designed for T-Mobile’s 4G mobile broadband network. It comes with Android 2.2 (Froyo) which means an increased speed and multitasking abilities.

Now for some technical specs. The Dell Streak 7 has a rear facing camera which is 5.0 MP. It’s ideal for HD stills and video recording (at 720p HD) while the front facing camera is 1.3 MP and is ideal for video calling using T-Mobile’s network. Storage space is ample, with an internal 16GB memory already installed and can be expanded with a microSD card (up to 32GB).

The screen is a 7 inch WVGA multi-touch display (800 x 480 pixels) that is made of damage-resistant “Gorilla Glass”. You can type faster on their onscreen keyboard with the swype input system. It allows you to input text by gliding your finger around the keyboard in one continuous motion.

Now for the battery life. You can watch movies (flash movies too) for up to 4 hours continuously without recharging. That means you can watch a couple of full movies back to back which is good enough for a long flight. If you don’t turn it off and leave it around, the device will still be ready to use as it provides up to 3 days of standby time.

The Dell Streak 7 weighs in at a bit over a pound, 17.6 ounces to be specific. Its measurements are 7.9 inches tall, 4.7 inches wide and has a thickness of 0.5 inches which is comparable to other tablets like the Samsung Galaxy.

As for the battery, the Samsung Galaxy has a 4000 mAh lithium-ion battery which provides in the range of 7 to 8 hrs of battery life. It measures 7.48″ tall, is 4.74″ wide and is 0.47″ thick and weighs in at 13.44 ounces.

The Toshiba Satellite L505-GS5037 has good performance and large hard drive for the price. This notebook PC features a 15.6 inch widescreen display with 720p HD resolution. It comes equipped with a 2.13GHz Intel Core i3-330M Processor, 4GB DDR3 memory and a 500GB hard drive.

It has an integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator HD card, a 8x SuperMulti DVD drive, 1.3 megapixel webcam, and built-in 802.11b/g/n WiFi wireless.

This Satellite L505-GS5037 also includes Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, 5-in-1 memory card reader, 3 total USB ports with one eSATA/USB combo port. The comfortable keyboard includes the 10-key number pad. The Toshiba software preloaded includes Microsoft Works SE 9.0. The unit weighs approximately 6.0 pounds.

This distinctive netbook by Dell has a bright 10.1 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display. You also get a 1.6GHz Intel Z530 Atom Processor, 1GB of RAM, and a 160GB hard drive.

It would be hard to make the netbook much smaller without shrinking the keyboard. Given its compact size, the keyboard and touchpad do not feel too small and cramped. The keyboard is laid out from one end of the chassis to the other to maximize the keyboard size.  The touchpad has integrated mouse buttons to keep the Inspiron Mini 10’s touchpad large at 3.0 x 1.4 inches.

The Inspiron Mini 10 is a solid netbook with some nice extras. It comes with standard built-in Wi-Fi wireless connectivity and an integrated 1.3-megapixel webcam. It also comes preinstalled with the Microsoft Windows Windows 7 Starter operating system. You’ll also be able to watch your favorite TV shows on it.

Hewlett-Packard has been consistently offering good value notebooks under the Compaq brand. These notebooks don’t skimp on basic performance and features. The Compaq Presario CQ61-410us is a competivtively priced notebook system that offers good features for productivity and entertainment.
